Our schools and plantations are run by a small team and the communities around them. Time, patience and a willingness to listen are worth more here than any single skill.
Chapter 01 — Why volunteer
Work directly with the children and families at the centre of everything we do.
Nirvanavan Foundation’s volunteer program lets you freely offer your time, labour and skills — without compensation — to support a social, environmental or community cause. We gain the help we need to achieve our mission, and you gain new skills, real-world experience and community connections that last beyond your stay.
Whether you can give a day, a week or a season, we will find honest work for you and make sure you understand the community you are joining. Every volunteer receives a certificate at the end of the program.
Chapter 02 — Ways to help
Education support
Teach alongside our staff, help shape the activity-based curriculum, or bring materials and skills into the classroom.
Community work
Spend time with the villages we work in — supporting self-help groups, livelihood training and health outreach.
Events & workshops
Help organise plantation drives, awareness campaigns, cultural evenings and school events.
Fundraising & storytelling
Write, photograph, translate or fundraise so more people understand what happens in Alwar.
Chapter 03 — Campus partnership
A standing MOU with Government College, Kherthal.
Nirvanavan Foundation has signed an MOU with Government College, Kherthal, opening volunteer placements to its undergraduate and postgraduate students. Every student receives a certificate on completing their assigned work with us.
